Salem, Ore., January 13, 2021 — Chemeketa Neighborhood College has gained a $200,000 reward from Northwest Farm Credit history Providers to build a greenhouse in the new Agricultural Hub, which is slated to open up on the Salem Campus in the coming weeks.  This new hub will serve the area agricultural community and sector with classroom and community conference house, backyard/farm demonstration fields, a woody ornamental lab, and valuable insectary.  The sophisticated involves new indoor and outside facilities for Chemeketa’s Agriculture and Horticulture courses, area for market consortia and commodity groups, mastering gardens related to regional higher school and FFA curriculum, and is located adjacent to the Marion Polk Food stuff Share youth farm.
