Introduction:
I have been acquainted with the Reader’s Digest Magazine, Asian Edition ever since my teens through my benevolent Dad. Dad bought those editions once in a while and after he was done with them, I took the liberty to read them. “Points to Ponder” and “Drama in Real Life” were eye openers for me. I realized the worth of my life during dark hours and re-read them to feel motivated and joyous again.
About the Magazine:
Reader’s Digest, the Asian Edition is a widely read magazine. And especially it has now more lively categories than before such as, “Kindness to Strangers”, “Smart Animals”, “Technology” and “Books & Movies”. Like before, the Cover Story, Drama in Real Life, Self-Help and Health Categories are very helpful, enticing and rewarding for all of us. The parts “Laughter, the Best Medicine”, “Life’s Like That” and “All in a Day’s Work” are equally fun, humorous and attractive. What more, we can contribute anecdotes, jokes and stories based on our lives in different categories and if the editors like to publish them in the magazine, then we have the opportunity to get paid ranging from $50 to $250 depending upon the category. I myself might like to contribute my own story to this wonderful magazine someday and I would certainly be over the moon if it were selected for publishing.
About the Editors:
The editors of this renowned magazine, along with their teams, do work hard in Singapore Headquarters to make it content-rich quality-wise and strive to be accurate as well with respect to the information, formatting, sentence structures and others. Thumbs up to them!! I really appreciate their work and their choice of selections which are definitely praiseworthy. Although I have been hooked on to self-help books and programs for quite a while, I have turned my attention back to the good old magazine as well and I find that there are more varieties here, more fun, and much to learn.
Reviewer’s Recommendation:
I would recommend Asian Readers to have copies of the Reader’s Digest from time to time and go through them meticulously. You will not only gain lightheartedness but also grab interesting principles of life. About American and European readers and others, Reader’s Digest magazines are likely to be available in your local book stores but I cannot recommend what they would be like because I have not gone through the editions of these regions. Most probably they rock like the Asian editions. So it’s worth giving a shot; purchase a month’s copy and see for yourself how you like it. Chances are they will become your pet magazine!!
