TSA checkpoint at FWA gets new credential authentication technology unit

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A new credential authentication technology (CAT) unit has been put in at the Transportation Protection Administration (TSA) checkpoint at Fort Wayne Intercontinental Airport (FWA).

A CAT device is made up of the passport reader, an ID card reader, a Federal personalized identification verification ID card reader, a watch, a stand and a UV gentle, FWA stated. The device will verify that the traveler is prescreened to travel out of the airport for a flight that working day.
